Summer swims sans chlorine

For many of us, chlorinated pools are as synonymous with summer as barefeet and BBQs. Cooling off without chemicals seems laughable given the threat of bacteria and pathogens that can breed in untreated water. But the chlorine used to keep artificial pools sparkling “clean” is not only unnecessary, it poses a health hazard.
