A few months ago, Hope at WeightingLine.com gave us all a gentle reminder that we really should be drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day and challenged her readers to see if they could do it. Since I am a competitive soul, of course, I said yes.

It seems that gas prices pushing beyond $4 is more than just Pennsylvania residents can handle - older, non-digital fuel dispensers cannot comprehend the numbers. Literally. Anything above $3.99 gets them out of whack.
Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell announced this weekend that gas stations in PA will be allowed to advertise half-gallon prices until upgrades […]

Memorial Day is just around the corner! I love a long weekend, but probably won’t be traveling for this one. Simply because we are usually entertained by the riverside arts fest that takes place right outside our windows on this particular holiday.
But most of America will be going somewhere. And odds are this year’s Memorial […]

What would you do if something happened that wiped out your town, razed your municipal buildings and erased your house from the landscape, forcing you to start over again, from scratch? I like the ideas they’ve used to achieve the savings - like heat recapture and rainwater harvesting - and that they emphasize how the house really isn’t so different from traditional homes. With just a […]

American Airlines is getting an earful from environmentalists about a recent Boeing 777 flight that used 22,000 gallons of fuel to fly 5 passengers from Chicago to London, according to the UK’s Telegraph.
The near empty flight reportedly occurred so that the plane would be on the right continent to accommodate passengers waiting to fly from […]

I really dig this gem from Wooster Collective: Culture Jamming because most of us are fed up with excess and frustrated about how to make it stop.
Like these flyers I get in the mail, endless printed guides wrapped in plastic detailing stuff on sale that I don’t need!
There are ways to get a handle on […]
