Green Giveaway - Win a Soy Candle by Robin Wilson Home

by Gabrielle on June 6th, 2008

Who doesn’t love a sweet smelling house?

For me, a scent can really make or break an atmosphere. I still cling to candles that remind of how friend’s homes or apartments smelled. Clove will always remind me of my BFF Sarah. Patchouli will always remind me of the college me. Christmas themed scents always bring me back to my mom’s potpourri filled house, more so than any other visual memory.

But what kind of stinks is that most candles are made by oil-by products.

But not these lovelies that I have to share with you!Soy Candle

Check out this soy candle created by Robin Wilson Home. You can get them at www.theneststore.com for $20, or you can win one here at Daily Tomorrow. Robin Wilson is an eco-friendly designer whose main focus is to integrate style, with environmentally friendly materials, specifically bamboo, recycled metal and soy. These candles come in two scents: Pinot Noir and Relaxation.

You know the drill, right? To enter, all you need to do is leave a comment (please include your email so I can reach you. It won’t be listed here) on this post between now and midnight EST, Thursday, June 13. A winner will be chosen at random from the comments and announced Friday, June 13.

UPDATE: The final soy candle will be given away Friday, June 27.

Good luck!

Ooo - Ooo! I’m IN! Please! =) I hadn’t really thought about it, living by myself and all, but my hippie friend Jodi from Austin is all about lighting the soy-based candle in the bathroom when ya gotta do your business. I do like to keep a little scent around - for me and my guests. All this healthy eating really gets things moving! LOL

I need to have a little rant and I wasn’t sure where else to put it, so I’m doing it here. Please excuse my placement. WHY in the WORLD do some people specifically choose non-Earth-friendly options, when the friendly ones - which have no cost/time difference or inconvenience? Case in point: Havning a little breakfast thing for a co-worker this morning and being in charge I selected the re-usable washable utensils instead of the 9 zillion pieces of plasticwear we’ve purchased. HELLO? We have real(ish) stuff why do we need all the plastic that people will throw away? Anywho, a co-worker, who shall remain namless, with a bowl of silverware in front of her, opens the drawer and pulls out plastic - which - upon completion of her tasty treats - she throws away. !!!!!!! I just don’t get it.

Thanks for letting me get that out. =) And thanks for offering up these awesome candles!

Soy….wonderful! I had always burned candles in my home for hours enjoying the scent and never realized what exactly I was breathing in. These soy candles seem lovely and I can’t wait to try one….hopefully I will win one so I can brag about it and encourage more sales!
Plus they glow great with my beautiful hand knotted rugs…..which are also eco friendly!

Always appreciate the pleasant aroma. I would love to receive a soy candle. I am making changes to go green. I work in construction and will be rennovating my living space. I am excited to begin my journey with a symbol of eco responsibility — a soy candle.

I have always, had some type of candle burning or a plug-in, for the aroma but, I have never had soy candles. I would really like to see the difference, or should I say smell the difference. My, daughter love candles and will be returning to college soon, if I win I guess I’ll give it to her as a going away gift. Go Green!
